Fondly Remember Dan, Dan the Bandage Man

This was one of my fave books to read (or have read to me) as a young girl! Dan was so good at helping his friends, pets, and toys feel better! And I have a thing for band-aids even still when I am hurt!

  2. Dude, Dan seems pretty stellar! :) lol. I used to run across old faves when kids would check them out at the library, always brought back tons of memories! :) And then of course I would take the book from the kid and tell him he couldn't check it out, because now I wanted it. ;) lol totally kidding of course. Kids' books don't have the same magic when you are older, even if it was a fave back in the day. It's sad, but true. If you missed it when you were a kid, then you have forever missed the magic of that story. :( What a depressing thought. :)

  3. You know, Jen, although I can never go back and be so intrigued by Nancy Drew as I was when I was a wee youngster, I can still visit my way old faves such as Doctor Dan..., The Pokey Little Puppy, Ruby the Copycat, and such other faves (mostly Golden Books), and still feel the magic. Especially if I am reading it to a little kid. That's almost better because then you can introduce those beloved stories to them and see them fall in love with the book!
